Bicycle riding on footpaths in Roma

The often vexed issue about the interaction between pedestrians and people riding bicycles on footpaths reared itself in an article in the 12 December 2003 issue of our local newspaper "The Western Star".

BUG-Roma acknowledges that care is required by all footpath users - young and older bicycle riders and pedestrians.

BUG-Roma wishes to work cooperatively with Roma Town Council (and Roma Police) in determining a satisfactory outcome to this issue.

For technical information on reducing conflicts between cyclists and pedestrians refer to Queensland Transport's Cycle Note C2.
